Gianfranco Ferré Research Center

Visitors will be welcomed to the headquarters of the Gianfranco Ferré Research Center, Politecnico di Milano, and will be guided through the historical archive to discover Gianfranco Ferré’s creative process through original sketches and technical drawings made by the designer, a selection of clothing and jewelry; objects belonging to Ferré’s collections; and books, magazines, press reviews, writings, lectures and notes kept in the archive.

Design Convivio

DIALOGUES ON DESIGN AT THE POLITECNICO DI MILANO
8 protagonists of the history of Italian design are invited to an imaginary dinner in Sala Ciliegio, the Rectorate’s historical library. The meeting is convivial and opens to discussing many topics. The characters on stage are, in chronological order, Gio Ponti, Franco Albini, Carlo De Carli, Marco Zanuso, Achille Castiglioni, Vittoriano Viganò, Alberto Rosselli, and Raffaella Crespi, all of whom graduated in architecture from Politecnico and later became Full Professors at the University.

OFF Campus

OFF CAMPUS | Il Cantiere per le Periferie is an initiative promoted by Polisocial with the aim of strengthening the presence of Politecnico in the city of Milan. The underlying concept is that of a more engaged University, targeting social challenges and closer to neighbourhoods and communities. OFF Campus San Siro

OFF CAMPUS SAN SIRO is a space where teachers, researchers, and students from the Politecnico di Milano promote innovative educational activities, responsible research, and co-design in support of the residents and local entities to develop new projects for the neighborhood. The space also hosts a legal clinic, a service desk providing legal support to neighboors who need it, managed by the Bocconi University.

OFF Campus NOLO

OFF CAMPUS NOLO is a space where teachers, researchers, and students from Politecnico di Milano can develop innovative educational activities, responsible research, and co-design in support of the residents and local entities to create new projects for the neighborhood. The space hosts Radio Nolo, the neighborhood radio open to residents, featuring a schedule of information, entertainment from and for the neighborhood, and media education activities dedicated to all age groups.

OFF Campus Nosedo

OFF CAMPUS CASCINA NOSEDO is distinguished by its unique location on the border between the urban fabric and the fields of the Parco Agricolo Sud Milano, situated in a renovated farmhouse halfway between the Corvetto district and the historic abbey of Chiaravalle. The space aims to be a center for the development and sharing of skills between the university (teachers, researchers, students) and local actors, focusing on topics and issues related to the peri-urban area.
